Purge-Away™ by Insul-Vest is designed to help protect injection molding machines from plastic blowback without interfering with the molding process. Its flexible design fits securely around the nozzle and barrel area, helping seal out purge while allowing the machine to continue operating as intended.

Constructed from non-stick Teflon®-impregnated fiberglass, Purge-Away™ resists plastic buildup so cooled purge can be removed more easily. Simply let the plastic cool, peel it off, and get back to production with less cleanup and fewer damaged components. 

To help create a snug fit, the front of the Purge-Away™ is held to the nozzle with an O-spring sized for the specific nozzle diameter. A similar fastening system secures the bonnet around the barrel insulation jackets, helping block plastic blowback before it reaches the heater bands or insulation.
